The TKAHGES29B is a 90cm angled hood in black glass with both hand gesture and touch control, aimed at wider hobs and at kitchens where the extractor sits in full view above an island or a feature wall.
The 90cm width is the practical reason to choose it over the 60cm model. A hood narrower than the hob leaves the outer pans outside the capture area, so steam and cooking smells spread into the room instead of going up the duct. Matching hood to hob width keeps everything under cover when four or five pans are in use.
Gesture control removes the need to touch the glass with greasy or wet hands. A movement in front of the sensor changes the fan speed or switches the lights, and the touch panel is still there as a fallback. Three speeds are available, with the top setting quoted at a maximum of 63dB. That highest speed is best kept for heavy frying, with the lower settings used for longer, quieter running.
The hood can be ducted externally or run on recirculation where an outside wall is not accessible. Physical dimensions are 90.0cm wide by 40.8cm deep, and the chimney telescopes between 78.0cm and 116.0cm to suit the ceiling. Net weight is 18.5kg, so fitting is a two-person job. Supply is 220-240V, 50-60Hz, with a two year warranty on registration.
